About Kat
Born in Richmond, Virginia, Katina Fox is a data analytics specialist with a passion for making complex statistical analysis understood by all. She has strategically used her skills as a curriculum and instruction specialist in roles such as Director of Special Education, special education teacher, Elementary school teacher, etc. Her specialization is creating, supporting, and developing quality instructional programming that is based on research-validated instructional practices that support all students being successful. She has worked in public, private, urban, rural, district, and charter schools in Arizona, Maryland, and Virginia.
For the past few years, she has developed several professional developments that include topics such as data analytics for educators, Universal Design for Learning, differentiated instruction, and MTSS (including PBIS, RTI). She is a Board Certified Special Educator and National Board Candidate. She is a Certified Google Educator Level I and II, Certified Google Data Analyst, a National Education Association Teacher Leadership Institute Alumna, and Arizona State Certified in Elementary Education K-8 & Special Education K-12: Mild to Moderate Disabilities with gifted endorsement.
Katina Fox has completed degrees in Sociology, Elementary/Special Education, and Curriculum & Instruction. She also serves on the board of the Phoenix Alliance of Black School Educators. She is a member of the Council for Exceptional Children, National Alliance for Black School Educators, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, and National Association for Special Education Teachers.
