About Idenna

Idenna H. Russell has been serving in education for 28 years, experiencing educational systems in multiple states across the US.  She has also been able to support the needs globally by teaching in another country.  She brings that passion and knowledge for the educational environment to her role. Idenna has held many different types of positions such as general education teacher, special education instructor, Director of Auxiliary Programs, Director of Development, and Admissions Coordinator, and more. She has served in different districts, schools, and educational programs for students from kindergarten through secondary school.  She has also worked with programs in a technical college and private universities.

Although not a native to the Arizona climate, originally from Brooklyn, Idenna is a proud transplant from the State of Maryland. She is excited to serve the community and bring a voice to the needs of educational professionals as well as improve the educational climate in the State of Arizona for all underrepresented minorities especially black children.
